
TORY ACHESON
Tory began coaching softball at Whitnall High School in 1987. During his six seasons at Whitnall he was able to win three conference championships. Tory was also the WFSCA President from 1987 to 1993. In 1993 he made the move to UW-Parkside and then in 1998 moved to his present position of coaching at Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, Tennessee. While at UW-Parkside his teams won the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) in 1996 and 1997 and qualified for the NCAA Division II World Series in 1995, 1996, and 1997 finishing 4 th, 7 th, and 2 nd respectively. In 1996 he was the GLVC’s coach of the year and was the NCAA Regional Coach of the Year in 1996 and 1997. While at Tennessee Tech his teams have won five conference championships and those occurred in 2001, 2003, 2005, 2006, and 2007. Overall his college coaching record is 692 wins and 312 losses.
